TTI VPN - Cisco Secure Client
Cisco Secure Client is the official Agency VPN solution, and is pre-installed on all TTI machines:
Please read the following steps for connecting to the VPN:
Look in the system tray for the icon (shown above) and right-click “connect” or open the program by finding it in your program list and double-clicking. When you open the VPN Client, you should see the server name “connect.tti.tamu.edu” in the window to the left of the “Connect” button:
Please note, the address for the VPN has recently changed to connect.tti.tamu.edu. The previous vpn.tti.tamu.edu is still operational for now, but the new official and preferred address is the new connect.tti.tamu.edu.
Once you click "Connect", you'll be prompted for your TTI username and password. Please note that this will now open a new window where you will use your TTI credentials through the Microsoft SSO
The username is your TTI username in the format shown above. The Password field is your current TTI password. After clicking connect, Microsoft Authenticator will show your preferred options for multifactor authentication (for this example it is a push notification with number matching).
After approving the push notification, you will need to accept the security statement before connecting:
Once fully connected, you should see “connected” in a pop-up:
If you attempt to connect to the TTI VPN when connected to a TTI wired or wireless network your internet access will become unstable and fail. Also, the use of the new TTI VPN on non-TTI or state-owned PCs is NOT approved or supported.
